Pennsylvania church installs LED lighting
Mar 22nd 2012
St. James Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has flipped the switch on an LED lighting project designed to help illuminate the building's beautiful stained glass windows.
According to Lancaster Online, the church, parts of which date back to 1820, has selected light-emitting diodes in a variety of colors. The different shades will help highlight the reds, blues and greens of the church's stained glass windows, inviting visitors to stop in for a moment of personal or spiritual reflection.
"The early church was about attraction, not advertising," Reverend David Peck told the source. "With this illumination, it will be about attraction."
Colored LED lights can be inviting at home, too. Try LED rope lights in a variety of fun colors to highlight spring flowers in your yard. With reds, blues, yellows and greens representing just some of your options, you can make your garden glow any way you want.
Colored LED rope lighting is also a great addition to a child's room. Try some for your son or daughter and see what the cool, natural glow can do for them.
