Redlands, CA invests in LED lighting
Mar 26th 2012
The city of Redlands, California, has made the decision to invest in LED lighting. According to the Press-Enterprise, this northern California municipality will begin replacing traditional light bulbs with LED alternatives around the start of the summer.
Some 300 bulbs in downtown Redlands will be replaced. The new light-emitting diodes will use 40 to 60 percent less energy than the previous bulbs, and they'll provide lighting that's bright and clear enough to illuminate the city's annual Christmas parade. The LED lights will also last twice as long as traditional incandescents, and stand up to even the most severe weather.
You can harness all these LED benefits at home, too. Whether you're looking for lighting indoors or out, LED rope lights have everything you need.
Try stringing some LED rope lighting around your backyard to shed some illumination on all your outdoor gatherings, from springtime soirees to summertime barbecues. And when the winter rolls back around, you won't have to bring them in – LED rope lights are durable enough to withstand rain, hail and even snow.
